Norgren, the motion and fluid control specialist, has been established on its Farnham site for many years and their operations had evolved piece by piece, as changes in the business environment have compelled them to adapt. This had resulted in a flow of products through the warehouse, picking and despatch departments that needed improvement in order to meet the changing demands of the market.

We were asked to review the working practices and make recommendations for improvements. We worked very closely with the client's team to analyse the product data, volumes and order profiles, and by adopting a methodical approach we were able to identify the issues such as bottle necks and double handling and suggest alternative ways of working. This resulted in a plan to lower inventory, decrease complexity and to redeploy staffing, whilst improving the time to fulfil orders.
